coilover adjustment

I want to install my coilovers next week, but I'm curious as to what the best way to adjust them are. How do I make sure they are even? Help?

do you want to do it the right way or the free way??

right way is to bring it to a place that has corner scales, and they ballance the car on the shocks so they are all getting about the same load. but this cost money, ( i think this was on a early pron)

free way? eye ball it.

your going to need a special spanner wrench to adjust the collars but that's about it.

GL with those.

Well I have the tool(s) .... technically if I measure the distance from the bottom of the threads to bottom of the locking plate (orwhatevritis), it should be fine, yes? Also, how do I know highest setting from lowest? I want it as close to stock height for now.

You can corner weight your car using bathroom scales. Google it! 8)

will do

the 'usual' way is to just count the number of threads from the bottom up, and set them all the same, but the way most race teams set their suspension is a measurement from the ground to the highest point on the wheel arch. for that you just need to make sure that the car is on level ground and the suspension is fully settled (drive in a straight line for a bit to get it settled out).

Yeah, I'm on break from school next week, so that's why I want to do it then. Thanks for all the tips :-D Now to get it the highest, do I move the adjuster to the top of the threads? That looks kinda tight for the spring.
