forester struts in gc chassis?

has anyone put forester struts in an obs ? i want to lift my car but would rather do bigger struts then a block/spacer lift . or could i just use forester springs?

 
You would have to do both struts and springs for the lift. You might have to swap out the rear top hats, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. You might need a different trailing arm to help center the rear wheel too.

i dont think its actually and obs its a 95 impreza outback but im pretty sure all the suspension components are the same

 
Ok yeah you will be able to bolt up first gen Forester struts, may have to swap the rear strut tops, and most likely use Forester rear trailing arms too

 
are the xt struts shorter then the regular forester .. i had the idea of putting them in because i figured they would be stiffer ?

Depends on what you're going to do with them. AGX's are adjustable, GR2s not. You might want to do autocross and stiffen them up, then soften them to drive daily. If you're going to just daily the car and maybe do some spirited driving, GR's should be fine.

Team O'Neil runs GR2's on their school cars. GR2's are meant to be replacement units for stockers, but word is they're a little bit stiffer than stock.

IMO, no; just get GR2's. (note, I am also very cheap)

Others may way in with different opinions.
