hey, internalcombust has mentioned to me in the past that some of you play forza2. myself and couple of guys are in the infancy stages of building a touring car class and a gt class loosely based on the scca speed world challenge. we are in week 5 of the "season" and are trying to get some car minded folks to join.
there is a website started http://frl.spruz.com/main.asp if you are interested hop on and read the series rules for a rundown of whats going on..........you can also go to the speed world challenge website http://www.world-challenge.com/competitors/vts.php if you are interested in seeing what cars are available. we base the gear ratios on what they run in the real series and try to closely build the cars in all other aspects to resemble the real cars, both in appearance and performance. the touring car class uses a b650 performance index with the gt class being set at a850. there is a "rewards penalty" program to even the field by reducing the p.i of the 1st, 2nd and third place finishers for the following race.
not all of the cars listed on the speed world challenge list are currently available to use, but most are........for example the gt3rs 911, caddy ctsv, c5 zo6, sti, gt500 'stang and the rt10 viper are currently being used in gt. in touring car we have mazda familia, audi s4, e36 m3, acura rsx, srt4 and the lexus is. all of the cars listed above have been tested at length and have specific builds for competitive purposes...........
so far its been blast and its a big change from running against "leader board cars" in public rooms all the time........we are just looking for a few more people to join and race on a consistent basis............touring car qualifying starts at 7pm eastern every saturday followed by a 25 lap race, with cautions. gt qualifying starts soon after followed by another 25 lap race with cautions. if you are interested contact "catheadbiskit" or "lookbeer" on the website.
thanks-n
