The spherical ended links on ebay are quite sturdy.  TAG runs them on the RS with no real problems.  They do need to be disassembled and greased/anti seized prior to installation though.

I was meaning before installation.  I would figure in maine maybe once a year or so.  They do have rubber boots for the joints and I am sure you could pack that with grease to avoid corrosion.  They were cheap enough and I think there was a bushing version on there somewhere.
