2007 wrx wagon with the most annoying hatch rattle, has anyone else had to deal with this before? Any ideas where it's coming from and how to fix it? Thanks guys

I have a 2012 WRX, but when I pulled the rear hatch cover panels, what I found appalled me... loose wires, harnesses, clips, etc everywhere. Literally no effort made by Subaru to properly secure anything & prevent it from rattling. I went nuts with some duct tape & foam.

Yeah I think I'm going to pull it apart and do the same thing, is it relatively easy to take it apart?

Not sure how it works on your model year, but it was fairly easy on mine. It's a delicate line though, between hoping something will just pop off, and hoping it doesn't break lol.

should be a couple screws or bolts holding panels around the inside latch; undo these, then work around outer edges to pry up the press-fit panel fasteners with a plastic or wood spatula. these should just pop out with a little wiggle action. go easy, look closely at what you're doing, and you'll be less likely to bust things.
