Hatch stuck!

So i'm at HomeDepot and go to toss some boards in the back of the Foz... no go. Hatch is stuck. WTF! Thankfully I had them cut the board down to a size that would fit thru the door but still. I piddled with it for a few minutes and then went home, had lunch, beat on it, and then it finally opened. Nothing was stuck in there, everything looked good.

I sprayed some lube on the latch so we'll see if it persists. Anyone else ever get a stuck hatch? From what I've read there's a little capped hole that has a manual release but well, would've been nice to know that at HOme Depot.

No problems yet with our hatch, but the damned fuel door freezes regularly in the winter. :BangHead:

have had the hatch on g/f's foz stick shut a few times. seems less of a latch plobrem and more of a "too much female crapola in the back, getting stuck in the hatch" kind of thing... :angel12:

Mike, how much female crapola do you have in your Fozz? Maybe Nigel's stumbled upon the cause of the failure

The Jeep is so bent and twisted out of shape nowadays that the rear hatch takes a bit of force to open and close. Actually...it takes a lot of force and body weight to get it to open.

I looked... there's a bit of rusticle in there. I think i'm going to try the lube method before I pony up the $$ to replace the handle with a non-rustified one.

Hit it with PB to kill the rust then work in some HHS2000(thick, clingy, spray lube). Work it baby.
