Legacy suspension question

Legacy22GT

New member
Hi all, I'm new to the site, so hopefully i am getting this right.

Anyways, can the struts from an Outback be swapped into a 97 legacy gt?

Can i just swap out the struts and nothing else? or do i have to do more modification to allow for the higher suspension?

if it's possible, what years OB should i get the struts from?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah they will bolt right in. You will need to get an alignment after. Any 97-99 OB struts should work.

Also, this has been done before on Ultimatesubaru.org might want to check things out over there as well!!

your lgt will take struts from the first gen legacy all the way to the fourth gen and some others....i have the struts from a 2002 wrx in my lgt now and for the winter i run a set of 99 legacy outback struts. and this winter i am even going to be adding a 1 inch spacer on the top hats to give me added lift.

you can but the outback legacy ones are better and allow a bigger tires cause the purches are higher
