new rotors

the ATE rotors with the groovy atomic-symbol grooves look good

whatever ones you pick, make double sure they have the OEM threaded removal-tool holes in em so you can get the effer's off later! I had some el cheapo OEM ones that didn't have the removal tool holes, there was a whole lotta swearing and rubber-mallet pounding over that one I tellya. :BangHead:

Buy the cheapest blanks you can find and apply the money saved to brake job beverage :drunken_smilie:

The cryo ones are kinda nifty, but I don't think they will really do anything for you. The others will probably just eat up your pads quicker.

Heres what I would get

Feel free to treat me to a beer with the money you save
+1

Nigel, I always fighting with my rubber mallet anyways LMAO!!!! I never even used those holes before! You might of just made my life easier

well I just ordered the EBC plain rotors for my boost buggy. they look nice.. will report when they arrive on my desk.

don't bother with anything super fancy.. just aint worth it.. not for autoX

akina you should try re-bedding them. works for me. 74k so far.

well i was thinking just blanks, but the cyro techs aren't that much more expensive. and the ATE's are way less then the sloted brembo's

im NOT doing this for just better brakes. rotors don't really do much. if mine weren't warped i wouldn't care at all. but i figure if im buying new ones as might as well get better ones while im at it.

i'll try rebeding them, but they were kinda shaky on the crap pads i had before and i think with the added grab of the reds that they just make themselves much more known now. they are also pretty groved and gouged up.

i like the cyro's cause that black coating is actully rust proofing and such and with maine winters and all. i'll do some more research on them when i have more time.

$16X with for all four corners with free shipping.. Mine were cheaper than NAPA crapzor rotors (friggen NAPA stocked SOLID rear rotors for the WRX (Stock is vented))

Maybe their computer skillz were teh suck and they looked up the old wrx rears (they were solid I believe). 160 for all 4 corners on the 06? Heck of a deal maybe that's what I'll go with...

no no.. that was for akina's setup.

Napa listed the vented and non vented in the same size for the 06 as a different part numbers than the 05's.

eh. im not going to worry about it any time soon. it's not really affecting anything aside from just being annoying.

so when i have more money i think im going to go with the space rotors, or at least slotted cause they don't get those ridges in them. something that link that pedro posted brought up.

thanks for the input.

Hmm... Seems a bit overkill for the old jeep...

I'm not surprised you got that though. Its a nice setup
