Paint over chrome??

I'm, thinking of painting my truck wheels comparable to my RS wheels (black w/ silver lip). The truck wheels are chrome. Anybody have any special tips for painting over chrome?? Do I just need to sand, rough them and prime, paint, clear?

So far the aftermarket wheels I like are 17" and up. I dont need or want to buy new tires. And the wheels alone I have liked are $1000-$1100 and up. :'(

wash with a good astringent (wheel cleaner/windex/ect) sand lightly (600+ grit)

Get an etching Primer and do 5-6 coats then color and clear if you choose to.

That's pretty much what I thought. I just didn't know if I would have troubles with the shiny, smooth chrome taking primer. Now maybe I'll get a pic of the truck and wheels and see if someone could photoshop it to get an idea how it would look.
