We put a 05 skidpate on a 2.2L 97 GC. Good fit, just had to skim down a thumb width.

Snowball has headers, so there are clearance issues with the GD plate going on GC 2.5 with ebay/Borla pipes. Looks like strategic spacing with 1" square tube will do the trick (and also beef up tinware GC front rad support) plus a bit of scroll saw work to relieve the pipes n plates bouncing off each other as motor does its rock n roll thang.
