Really sloooww electric windows.

My 99 OBS ,as stated, has really slow REAR windows. Like so slow I'm afraid they may not go back up, especially this winter.

Is it something that needs to be lubed or do they need new motors. Seems strange that the 2 window on the car that get used the least would be the first to go.

How do the motors sound? Are the sounding like they are struggling? Is there any squeaking?

Try lubing the glass runs with spray silicone. They probably haven' been used much. Put the windows down and spray the sh*t outa the weatherstrips that the glass runs in and run the windows up and down.

Also, make sure the tracks aren't binding below the door jamb. Sometimes the rubber tracks come out of there seats and fold over, causing the window to bind when it passes. Fix it by taking off your door panels and investigating.

And as far as lube goes... I find that KY Jelly works best.

white lithium grease on the gears inside the door and the pivot bushings also helps (if the windows work anything like the toyotas or Saabs)
