rear axles off diff? how?!?!

how do the rear axles come off the diff? it looks like you take the bolt and plate of the "gear" and that would loosen it? not sure if that is the way it works? anyone on right now that knows how this goes? I'm trying to get my car back together tonight, thanks!

 
pretty sure they just pop out? There's a little ring that sits in a groove inside the diff and you just have to pop it out .. unless they changed it. That's how it was on my 97 impreza. Just took a pry bar and pried it out.

 
theres a snap ring in there, and the axle is splined like a driveshaft or any other axle. try to pry it out with a crowbar or something.
