Hey Chris broke his clutch and needs some help. Hes at work right now so he asked me to post. The Clutch is engaging and not dis-engaging. it sticks to the floor and will not disengage. He thinks it maybe the line or something is gummed up. Any help or suggestions are appreciated!! :-

Oh no!! I need to put a clutch in my car too, and am looking for some experienced help. I need the clutch in before STPR, so i'm ordering parts now, and in a bit of a rush. I see the post about doing a quick garage day for 'runnah'. I am not sure if the land lady would accomidate us all here, but I may be able to use the shop at the farm i work on in Gorham. Enough room for two cars comfortably inside at a time, and plenty of gravel parking space to work on. I have a engine hoist, air compressor, impact, hand tools, jack and whatnot. There isn't any tools at the 'shop' yet (its new), so its more like bring your car and tools. There may be two air

Hey thanks for the help Alkina. Luckily I was 1/4 mile from homw when it went.

Yeah I poked around and didn't se any too obvious. So that must mean its something bad.

I think at this point im going to get it twed to patriot and have them do it.

Rezpunk saved the day!!

Pooched line! Everything is ok, slave and master are ok and th eclutch is probably in good shape.

glad it's nothing serious!

it's weird my post above had nothing in it??

post said something like, "it's probably the line" because the clutch MC got replaced not long before u got it. clutch pedal is held to floor by spring pressure....it'll stay there when the system loses pressure. so the prob was likely either the line or the slave cyl...both of which are easily visible from under the hood, on driver side under dogbone engine stabilizer. you should have seen either a puddle of fluid under the line or slave cyl, with guck running all over de place or pooling on the ground.

if problem was the clutch disc or pressure plat, you'd have notied slippage well before things deteriorated to the point of flat pedal (I'd imagine, anwyway!)

R...LOOK before you freak!
