Short Block for 2003 WRX

Im in need of what the title says. I blew a piston in my current one and need a short block to replace my broken one.

You can get a brand new one from the dealer for $2300. That's what I did but my car had an extended warranty at the time so I was reimbursed for it. But if you can afford it you get one with zero miles rather than a used one you don't know a lot about.

^This. BTDT. Good used WRX shortblocks are like hen's teeth...and now you understand why.

Go with a fresh factory one, have somebody who knows the drill do the swap-out with your blown motor. Make sure they clean the heads super well, that blown motor is full of debris washed everywhere thru oil passages. If short block does not have oil pump, replace that as well, it's wrecked due to pumping fluid full of metal chunks.
