I'm pretty sure that one of them is clunking around back there...and my old man thinks that I can drill and tap them out and install grease fittings....

probably won't help with the clunk. Check the bolts

unless those are the spherical bearing type endlinks

Seph, are your new tires noisy? I am in the process of tire shopping myself. My car came with 3 of those and it seems pretty noisy. It's been noisy since day one. for all I know maybe it's the rear end. I don't really think so. It's not metal grinding, just.....I don't know how to describe the sound. ??? :
