anyway, my blue subie needs a new gas tank. I have another Subie that I got as a parts car, but that also needs a tank. I found out that there is a place in Lewiston that can repair any tank for $100. It took me the better part of the night to get the damn thing out! You need to remove EVERYTHING from the back end! Diff, x-member, axles, exhaust....

On the flip side, most shops are quoting me almost a grand to do the job....

honey, look at all the money i saved.....!

Ya know what's nice about pulling the gas tank on a subie?

NOTHING

Then again, it's not a headache. It's an opportunity for an upgrade. Like to a fuel cell... :-*

I thought about it. Money is kinda tight, so the repaired one is going back in. But, since they have to come off, it's time to swap to rear disks and that LSD diff I got off you guys.

If I get the tank back by Friday, I'll prolly do it next weekend. It's sure nice to have a parts vehicle. ;D
