Wiper's flipping out on the Alcyone

So, my wipers picked today to stop working properly. If I turn them off while the car is on, they wont come on again and I have to restart the car before they will. And, they seem kinda weak, and not making a full sweep like they should. Any ideas?

 
Sounds like a bad relay.

If you shut off the car, the relay will reset itself. This could be why once you shut off the wipers, they won't turn back on.

Just a thought?

 
When we get those in (they come in here all the time) the usual problem is....

Ok, so maybe we hardly ever get them in here, but try standing outside while they are on and help them through a full sweep. If you can feel the motor trying to work but its just too weak, you need a motor. If it has no motor power at all, it may still be a motor that's shorted and its popping a circut breaker.
