Need some new tires.......

Hi all,

Looking for two sets of 205/55/16.

The first set I'm looking for is an all season set.

The second set I'm looking for is a summer set.

I don't want to spend over 400$ a set if I can help it. and looking to buy new not used.

So my question is what would you recommend?? What have you had that you have liked, good tread wear, etc......

I had Hankook K104 (or K105?) on my RS. Loved them! I don't think they are available any more. I have been searching for some for my WRX. Good wear (2-3 summers, spirited driving) and would have gone longer, good grip. Nigel, are they still on the car?

We have (had) Kumho Ecsta ASX on the Forester. 2-3 summers and we basically need to replace them. Almost worn to the wear bars. Not real happy with these. Probably never get more.

It looks like I'll take Nate's for the Forester to get us through a summer or 2 (hopefully). I'm pretty sure if I buy new for the WRX, I'll go with Hankooks.

no, they are in the LDR garage, unmounted. the K105s are sweet tires...grippy smooth ridin, quiet. (these are in like new condition) but I've gone over to teh phat side with Dunlop Star Specs 225/50-16s

legwag, any interest in the Kumhos @ $250 for the set.

Allseason: Goodyear Eagle GT, great on dirt, very sticky on tar, great in snow, greeat in rain. I got almost 30,000 miles on mine and have plenty of tread left. Can't beat it for $98 a piece

I've been searching around on tirerack. still don't know what I'm going with.

I have Kumho KR21's that I use year round, they are awesome on road, off road, and in the snow. Don't do too bad on ice either.

I have had them on for around a year, so a little over 10k miles, still have nearly new tread.
