Is there any interest in this? It has 150k on it, runs good, needs some oil leaks fixed, headgaskets don't leak. Burns a little oil on cold start, but is fine once it warms up. I am planning on dropping a 2.2 in it's place just because I want simplicity, and if I am going to haul the motor out to fix the oil leaks, I would just rather have a 2.2 inn it's place. I am thinking $400 for the complete motor. That is a deal. It will be at the very least 90% complete. Pretty sure I won't need anything much off of it for the new motor. So that means heads, intake manifold, and block. Let me know if you have any interest, or offers. Thanks

This would drop nicely into my Impreza L if I didn't already have EG33 in mind. If you yank it and fix the oil leaks let me know Jay.

Thanks, Rick.

Yep, it will drop into any car with an OBD2 phase 1 2.2. If it doesn't sell, I may do just that. But honestly it wouldn't be all that hard to do yourself. Probably would be a good idea to do the timing belt as well while it's out. That's what I would do anyway.

I'm relatively new to the swapping motors game, so I think I will hold off until I can afford an alcyone and play merge the harness. It was a cool idea, good luck with your sale Jason.

It's a 25D. If you change to 251 pistons you can use 251 heads on it. Just change the crank gear if your friend's is a 2000.

I assume you're talking about My25RSL? Yeah this isn't quite the same, but could be made to work. And honestly it's cheap enough to do that too. Feel free to let him know.

Talking about me? aha I had to make a new ID cause for some reason the FB login didnt work. Anyways, I'm very interested in this. I'm assuming direct swap for a 97 LGT?

Yes it would be a direct swap. Like I stated above, you should replace the timing belt and associated stuff before installing, and fix any of the oil leaks it has.

Only thing swapping it into a 97. I'm fairly certain in 97 they moved the vacuum canister to the back. So the evap routing is different. You're best bet is to just swap the vacuum setup from your current engine onto that intake manifold. It's actually a lot simpler.
