Are you positive it is the drain plug? I would suggest wiping down the entire oil pan and any area around it then checking a day later.

Congrats on the new car. As for the headers I highly doubt Vinnie put UEL headers on. The new WRX's run a twin scroll turbo which needs EL headers to operate properly. It would actually hurt the performance of the car.
