Ok, so we lifted our 06 WRX and put big nasty snows on it. We love it.  Need some wheels for summer though. Im thinking something beadlocky, but haven't seen anything quite what were looking for. Going to be running General Grabbers (the MTs) and would love to find a set of cool off road style...

Ordered a Rovan 5SC truck last night. Went back to Mardens and bought the Kraken TSK cage and body panel set to turn it into a rock crawlerish buggy. Plus picked up tires and some other goodies. 30.5 CCs of fury...  40" long, 45mph stock.... they sound like a 250r or something...

Def worth a try.  Like I said, it took me a few attempts.   It needs to be doctors office clean, and its really hard to see in there where it tends to gunk up.   Let me know if you run into any troubles with it. All I run into is trouble working on these things, then I figure it out in the end.  

And I cant find a Baja to save my life.  I really want to see it in person before I buy it, but looks like tower hobbies might be my last resort.  Losi makes a 1/5 scale gas 4wd buggy that looks interesting, but that 1/5 short course HPI truck just looks awesome. And its bigger.   Think coffee...

I had a guy get in touch from Sabattus, right next door, haven't heard back from him though, him maybe?, I told him it was buried, but I have a tractor, and a chain. It will come out.

I have a 97 that was running greta til it sat for a while, general consensus is a wet coil being the cause of not starting. It had a bit of piston slap on startup then for about 15 seconds, somewhere around 200k, but it ran strong. Will need an oil pan, has some pinholes in it, will leak out...

Have you tried pulling it off and cleaning it?  I had the same problem on my 04.  It took me 4 or 5 tries to finally get it good and clean and no more CEL, youll need a box of Q tips, toothpicks and a can or 2 of electrical cleaner.  If they stayed the same, you should get a new O ring seal...

Back in high school we could make any old Subaru run, all we needed was vise grips, galvanized chicked feeders for sheet metal to patch the bodies, some carb cleaner, and a hammer, and some string, spray paint from Mardens, big Oak tree with a set of rope falls for engine swaps...etc etc...  ...

I just tried rewinding the recoil 3 more times. Last time. I wont be rewinding that one again.  Pulled a double knot that was hot glued thru the pulley. All done. Tower Hobbies says less than a week Ill have my electric start.   I like the brushless a lot, but like the noise of a 2 stroke more.

I got an HPI trophy 3.5 buggy RTR for $255, and we got the wife a 1/10 Bullet 4wd stadium truck brushless RTR for just over $200, they have some accessories left, and a few high end cars that people don't know what they are... Team Durango, and a couple X ray kits, some Associated stuff, fuel...

So my wife and I picked up a couple of HPI RCs from the big Mardens sale, 1/8 nitro buggy for me, 1/10 stadium truck brushless for her. Building a track this spring, anyone up for stupidity???  I haven't raced in 20 years....
