Spare Key? Whoa Chris, you are Brilliant! Well, the whole adventure started when I discovered the super secret Hide-A-Key box had fallen off the car somewhere along the line.... fortunately I was home where I had, umm, "resources" to deal with the issue. next step is to get approx 21 spare...

    winter storm + ebrake

have experienced exact same thing a few times lately. all depends on conditions, and how much snow you have packed around brakes when you park. riding em a bit before parking sounds like a good plan...get some heat into em, maybe a couple pumps before shutoff.

Best place to have a tire studded, mounted & balanced?

5k mileage is not "worn enough" to present a problem here. New tire should be fine to go with the others.

*&%$#@!!! Subie locks itself overnight in cold

Anybody else had their Scoob lock itself with no apparent outside help? 2000 RS sedan, OEM key fob, locks work great otherwise EXCEPT it has started to lock itself overnight in the c-c-c-c-old we've had lately. Not so bad in and of itself, EXCEPT when the O(^&^$^%$^$#@$@!!! keys are left in...

Best place to have a tire studded, mounted & balanced?

Main thing is to get the 4th tire same diameter as the other 3 used ones. Depending on mileage, might be worth it to get new tire shaved b 4 u try to stud it. Just a few percentage points variance means more wear On yer diffs. Not worth a few bux difference on tire pricing.

Best place to have a tire studded, mounted & balanced?

do you already have the tire? used tires can't be studded...or more accurately a good tire place will (rightly) refuse to stud a used one.

Armored mailbox lurking in a Quebec snowbank was the reason my bugeye wag got a new widebody nose-ectomy.

    Auto Rotisserie

We made a rotisserie out of 2 engine stands and a bit of fabbed bracketry. Bolted brackets to bumper mounts, presto it was "spin the new rally car." Scrape sand weld pound bend paint and/or polish, do whatever you wanted to the shell, it was always easy to reach the hard-to-reach places.

    fb owners weigh in plz

Have a 2014 Foz company car, 6-spd. Great driving and practical, amazingly better on gas than our long-term 03 Outback wag. However by 8 k miles, the 'add oil' light has come on twice. Ppl are paranoid about checking the oil, it's often down a Half-quart in like 400 miles. Ppl also have...

    2015 WRX revealed!!!

As for why so many cars look similar these days, well it's kind of mandated. Height of the nose, shape of front end, and upward curve to the hood are all due to passenger-impact standards. YUP, cars are now designed to lessen the damage when they hit things like people...wonder if it'd help when...

    Diesel 22b replica

several shots in the video showed the car on course where it sounded like he was in too high a gear. downshift = fastAr!!! then again, maybe the diesel doesn't rev very high, and all the torque is down low.
