Saw a white 11+ WRX Sedan in westbrook the other day.  Also a WRB hatchback like mine parked off Payne Rd next to Sebago Brewing. These things are everywhere now haha.

You're looking at a fuel pump for sure, and probably injectors too, if you want to get the most out of it. I have a DeatschWerks DW65c fuel pump (http://cygnusperformance.com/cart.php?target=product&product_id=1291&category_id=122), but my stock injectors are pretty much maxed out.  

Finally we'll have another beastly GR hatch kicking around. It will pull like crazy compared to stock; you're probably looking at ~100whp gain.     I'm tuned on a custom map from Eric Minehart (Torqued Performance) with Perrin ELH & uppipe, PW TMIC, GS EBCS, Invidia Catted DP, PTP Lava...

Friday: Blacked out 06-07 STI on Payne Rd, WRB WRX hatchback with flaps at the Kennebunk service station, WRB WRX sedan going SB. Also saw Brian Lowell headed NB on 95 on my way back down to Portland today.

Thanks for the info. 3/32" x 2  = 0.2" total tire height difference. I'll take a peek when I get the new tire, but I'm not too worried. Thanks for the reassurance here. This is proving to be an expensive little mistake, but it could have been a lot worse.

Update: Buying a new studded Hankook ipike, same tread pattern. With all of the abuse from drifting, and daily cornering anyway, I'll take my chances with extra wear on the open front diff; even if it were a massive 1/4" tire height difference, the rotations would be ~99:100.

My current snow tires have less than 5k miles on them. I don't know the exact tread depth, but it's still very meaty. I'm definitely going to have to go new here.

2014 STI owner is already looking to buy these, but if that falls through, I have a set of studded General Altimax Arctic 205s on 17" steelies. Might not clear brembos without spacers, but yeah... They were on my Mazda for like 4k miles. Very healthy.

The rears need another +20mm haha.

Was asking about a new tire, since that's what I was supposed to be buying today, but the guy from craigslist totally tried to pull a fast one and brought me one of the used ones instead of spare new one he had that I was asking about, so I'm back to the drawing board for a little bit. Might be...

Looks & sedan-only aside, I like what I hear, but I'll probably hang on to my 2012 until there's a next gen STI hatch. Curious if there's tons of power left on the table in that setup though... 

Anyone know the best place to walk in and have a single tire studded, mounted & balanced? There seems to be an awful lot of crappy tire places out there...

Indeed. I wasn't even drifting either, I was just trying to drive through the lot, cut the corner too sharp. The lights made the snow look flat.

Sooo, who has a 235/45R17-ish snow tire they want to sell me? 

My exact predicament... Probably slim pickings until after midnight, but I rarely manage to ski not hungover, so 5 hours of sleep isn't much different.
