05 LGT at 66K- Proactive Turbo Replacement?

When neighbor was looking for a used subie, Chips told him to steer clear of turbos because of problems. I think they may just be anti-turbo there.

    Impreza Control Arm Recall?

I'll give them a call and setup the appointment. I just don't want to get stuck w/o my Subaru during the best time of the year to have it. Just checked with my friend back in PA... she said the dealer told her it would be 4 to 6 weeks until the parts come in. Boo.

    Impreza Control Arm Recall?

Any word on delay of parts to perform the replacement if necessary? A friend of mine has had a rental Mazda3 for over a week and they're saying it'll be at least another week or two until the control arms come in. Found there are others on the SubaruForester.org who have had the same deal...

Looking for old steel/chromoly bikes (Portland area)

I know where to buy tubes to build a bike... I just don't want to pony up the big $$ to practice. I'll check out onlinemetals.com. Gonna get a bike to chop up. We'll see how that goes. May just need to use that to practice mitering.

Looking for old steel/chromoly bikes (Portland area)

Stripping the paint would be a project in itself but it would be a good way to practice miters too. There was a post on craigslist today for some old bike frames. I responded. If I can just grab one I'd be happy as it would most likely be enough for practice. Any suggestions on where to get...

Looking for old steel/chromoly bikes (Portland area)

I'm not looking for anything of any value as I'm going to cut it up. I totally forgot about the dump. I rarely go (hence the stack of used oil containers in my garage) so I always forget it's there. Nice moped GClark! Does the pine tree air freshener help keep it fresh?

Looking for old steel/chromoly bikes (Portland area)

I'm looking for some old bikes that I can hack up to practice brazing. Looking for steel or chromoly tubing. If anyone would like to donate something I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
