I want it to be all white, not white and gray.
I want the TS cuz it's a daily driver and I want 28mpg on cheap gas.
I have a vf39'd FXT for going fast and wasting gas.
Thanks for the info Dan.
I definitley will hold out for this exact car. I can wait a few months to find it. I have plans for it to be a sweet daily driver.
For now I'm using searchtempest to search craigslist and occasionally checking autotrader.
Alright MS. I need your help finding an impreza. It needs to be...
2002 or 2003
Impreza wagon TS (not obs, not wrx)
5-speed
White
If you see one, know of one, come across one... Let me know.
Thanks!
-Joe
The forester tires are 215/60/16
Stock impreza tires are 205/55/16
Forester tire diameter = 26.2 inches
Impreza tire diameter = 24.9 inches
If you put forester tires on an impreza your speedometer will read 5.1% too slow.
For example when your speedo says your doing 60mph your really going...
So I can cut off the wire and let my 2 year old son have it as a toy. Everytime I touch my PS3 remote to watch netflix or play a DVD he freaks out and wants to push the buttons.
Thanks to NES user Bu11dogg2, the forester has new summer wheels!
18" Rota Formula Mesh with kumho SPT 235/40/18
I am a bit embarassed by the wheel gap, but I will be putting wrx wagon struts and springs on as soon as I can find some.
For Sale: $350
Forester XT rims with tires. Yokohama Avid H4s 215/60/16
The rims are in great shape, no curbage or scratches.
I've had these tires before and they lasted 50k. I'd say these have at least 25k left in them.

Their previous home

the reasonable consensus is that you can get 200 crank horsepower out of an EJ25 N/A
cams
intake
full exhaust
and the crawford ECU re-map
Then their is the great debate that says EJ25s are not as reliable as EJ18 and EJ22. Some years of EJ25s had headgasket issues, but that has largely been...
SCCA has 3 classes
stock
prepared
modified
In prepared class you are allowed to replace one diff with an LSD.
Any sort of engine or transmission swap puts you in modified.
I'm not crazy about these rules... because for example say I wanted to swap an N/A 2.5 into an early impreza that came...
unfortunatley, stripping the car or doing any work to the transmission bumps you up to open class, as does an engine swap. (SCCA rally-x rules)
I started the discussion assuming you would run in open class.
If open or rally-prepared are your class of choice... a 99-01 2.5RS built to class...
great thanks,
adding 55 pounds in front of the wheels is not a good thing, but you can compensate and bring the front weight back to stock and still handle like a EJ25.
So is the H-6 the best rally-x engine!?
so does anyone know just how much more an EG33 weighs compared to an EJ25?
If it is only say, 75lbs, that could be made up for by relocating the battery, removing A/C, JDM bumper beam, and carbon fiber hood.
what about an EG33?
how much extra weight does the H-6 add over an EJ25?
I suppose it is a compromise between lotsa extra low end torque and more power across the range versus more weight in front of the front wheels.
What about some sort of 2.5 liter turbo engine tuned for rally?
A crazy built block with meth and anti-lag would be the ultimate, but is totally unrealistic for rally-x. (who would spend that kinda money on a rally-x car)
So what about maintaining the 2.5 liters of displacement and finding the...
The phase II 2.5 N/A engine with intake, exhaust, cams and the crawford srs30 reflash!!!!
Mated to a 4.11 gearbox (you will probably stay in 2nd gear all day long) with LSD's all around.
Is there anything better than that?
Chassis: GC impreza coupe
Goal: ultimate power band for rally-x
Class: open
What do you guys think would be the ultimate subaru rally-x drivetrain in a GC impreza? There are so many options. You could consider a no expense spared option, or more realistically, a best bang for your buck...
