If I flick into the corner and tap the brake and romp on the gas, the car swings around way better than it would using the ebrake....

Yea defintely more control without the ebrake (i tried it....) The ebrake is better sometimes on the snow though and hairpins. The STI has taken some getting used to. You have to go super hard to get it to do what it should be . So much grip its crazy....

You shouldn't need the ebrake to initiate a slide, but you must still use your ebrake on tighter corners....?

If you don't "beat" on your car you will never realize its potential or your own. I have a 98 legacy gt wagon that i've driven the piss out of. I used to take dirt roads/snowmobile trails home from work everyday. Makes a long commute fun.... Sometimes i'd get bored and just do laps around...
