    no more 50 tons highway

I encountered ridculous opinons growing up in mass about trucks, been around trucking my whole life.Today that same area (boston suburb) is owned by tiny vehicles. To ponder my dad climbing waltham street in woburn to get home, with a Class A rig nearly everyday only made the whole place even...

    Lessons to Live by

this may explain an exploded rocker panel. I bought the sube I have now with expanded foam at the root of rockers, a common spot for little holes... the little hole was made into a 6 foot long rupture, unexplainable. rust is rust... that foam must have something it can't mix with.

    amazing......

that was good vid, I thought of song as vengeance like too. I put in a post accident subaru video. I do not admit near death. We are limited to ourselves. No need to get depressed over it. I don't admit much that I am disabled..I like seeing efforts. the other day trucking with my dad.. a...

    Needs a fix...

report is good legally, but police will not care. I was in broad daylight in front of the post office during rush hour- hit and run. It was hard enough to stop and get out wondering WTF just happened... if it was not 300 freakin belligerent blindass witnesses... good luck getting it fixed...

Got an over heating problem! NEED HELP ASAP!!!

a plug wire was undone, and 2 misfire codes.. and it ran fine? getting all four going is a prerequisite to happy cooling, the boxers go a little crazy on the coolant, and even oil flow...if assymetry is part of the equation. it needs all four cylinders thumping along. I got one that squeezes...

    *OFFICIAL* Snow Thread

I am all ready.. the car is smiling at its 24th year. I can tell. hopefully it don't get bashed in by a wannabe AWD like .. the evos, talons, focus and every other newb with a barking fart can of unbalance. (truthfully, I am just staying in) 8 to 12 and could be more where I am.. they have...

    no more subie..

ouch. that can happen. if you realize some memory skips randomly.. go get checked. it happened to me after a wreck. the net and its repeating (I am net everyday, watch the recycles come and go).. that really played some tricks, and that's when I caught on. sneaky injury.

    Rev matching?

a straight cut could slam into gear... the others never just slam into gear. downshift is like a rig. rev slow until it slips in, then when mastered make it seem easy. upshift should have a wait... I super lubed an old sube, second doesn't get the slowdown for synchros in the cold.. its a...

How bad do you beat on your car?

if you have been diverse in cars this question is easy. of course, the farther you go back in time, the longer the drivetrain is willing, I mean days upon days relentless....but steel fails.. today they are retarded in the tight top end snaps with more wiggling parts than a real torque could...

Nanny in Outback beats DumbDumb in Talon

I never notice subes together... the talon is one that does not get hung onto local for very long, unless sitting around for a conversation...the dumb ones have the fart cans. I see one left driving around in the city once and awhile. this hot rod forum I hang out at, guy had one. made fun...

    old sube water pump!

true. I did decipher it, the long was correct.. 4 5/16 and 4.320 are one and the same, the xt does get the short one, or any old ea sube that converted to a serpentine. I have asked it much more than once in 14 years, and never bought a single one. (amazing- the 3 subes I have had add up to...

    old sube water pump!

there is 2 hub heights... I do not even know how to measure it. I am guessing double pulley is long hub (tall) and the serpentine belt of an xt is the short (single pulley) is this correct? trying to order for an 87 subaru, double v-belt pulleys...am gong for tall one as of this moment, need a...

Outback Wagon Hit- family walks away

the day I hug a sube will be the day I... I do keep track of wrecked subes. I am in awe 20 gauge can hold up like that. Even the owner in caption of photo said "it is hard to believe everyone walked away". I have said the same thing about a loyale with acualt front ends and actual bumpers and...

    Awesome Congo Adventure

that is a cool place. I get caught up in local, all the time, forgetting how there is nothing but lumber getting bought cheaply. the other day I saw a load of straight as could be cedar, not common...even the cheapest mill is a dollar a foot to the seller. Other than this... 999,999 out of a...

The Eric Benson Memorial Dirt Drive - November 28th

I remember now, I am unusual lately keeping track of the unforgettables. that is indeed a classic there. Power can be made, conservative approach is a preserver. I regretted not going (ea82 wagon, dual range), and just added a rapid renewal registration to the subes abyss of the past week (not...

The Eric Benson Memorial Dirt Drive - November 28th

that would've/should've have been something I would have done... knowing you went , no codrive... I should have gone no codrive. I red the posts this morning and realized I could have met the start time... One of the reasons I did not go was no co drive.I drove a quick ride though some slop out...

The Eric Benson Memorial Dirt Drive - November 28th

I could squeeze this trip out with an old subaru, but only just realized it today. I gave it 150 miles, and rte 202, back roadish did excellent. for some odd reason, all four plug sleeves in stop the water pump madness. I guess subaru means symmetry when they claim symmetry. Never heard an ea82...

I completely shrugged the op as joking intentional... of course the real subes are not in the hands of money. reminds of that idiot with a porsche 944....That was me with a coworker. I did learn there is an idiots arrogant line drawn... maine only goes so far with that. the 500 dollar flappy...
