Evergreen did very right by me.

When the oil is hot and the car has just been shut off there are more by-products of conbustion floating in the oil. If you let your car set for the night then change your oil the sluge and other contaminents settle too. At least this is what I believe. savoo

Evergreen did very right by me.

Had my car worked on a couple of days ago. They got me in on time. They changed my oil when it was HOT. That's the best time. They found out my rear bearings were bad and changed them at NO CHARGE. I still had a whopping 600mi on my warranty. They found things that needed to be done in the...

    Front bearing dust cap saga

After putting my winter wheels on, I see that the axle nuts are exposed. Six dust caps later I find one that fits over the axle. I just had to put some dimples into it to make it tighter. If any of you want to cover your wheel bearings I'll post the NAPA part number. can't do it now cause it's...

Now, I know why you youngsters are so excited ! ! !

HOT DARN.... I took my outback to an unsalted parking lot to get my smow legs. (new car to me with new studded snow tires.) Parting lot glare ice with a couple of islands. It took off like a tracked vehicle. Braking and off throttle turns predictable understeer. On power turns very controlable...

So I'm running a die down my shift lever and we all know how hard it is to thread a chrome shaft. After about an inch of added threads the shift lever starts turning. What's that lever connected to in the center console? I got an automatic tranny. It was a real ***** backing that die off while...

URGENT!!!!! HELP!!!!!! Whats the easiest (safaest) way to syphon a gas tank?

The stuff comes in a yellow tube. It's made just for stopping gas & oil leaks. Get a piece of innertube and squrt a gob on it. then push it on the hole. Hold it there for 5min. and then drive car till empty. There you have it. savoo

Car key tip stuck in the keyhole.

The lock smiths have a tool that looks surprisingly like it. A coping saw blade is 1/8" wide at the most. get one with big teeth so it will hook the key instead of sawing it. cut the end off to make a wedge tapering to the teeth. insert so it should cut on the out stroke. have fun. savoo
