'02 WRX... Maybe???

ok so a lot of people on here know my car. I am working on the CELs that are on. but despite those it still runs beautifully. I really do NOT want to get rid of it but I'm moving and don't want to tow a trailer behind it. it does have a lot of miles on it but I will let anyone test drive it to prove that it's sound.

Mods:

TurboXS Turbo-back exhaust with single high-flow cat and MagnaFlow muffler

Rear O2 sensor extension (prevents CEL from coming on - this is a mechanical fix, not electrical)

Factory JDM STi catless up-pipe

TurboXS UTEC dyno tuned by XXTuning

Remote switch for UTEC

Exedy Clutch (one step up from stock)

Samco silicone intercooler hoses

STi replica hood scoop painted to match

Cobb lightweight flywheel pully

Whiteline Adjustable Rear Swaybar

Whiteline Front Strut Bar

Greddy EGT Gauge

Blitz DC Live Unit and boost gauge

Group N hardened engine and transmission mounts

Kartboy hardened shifter bushings

APS Blow-Off Valve

Short ram intake

what i've done in addition to regular maint since I got it:

front drivers side transaxel (cv joint) went and I replaced it

timing belt pully went and I replaced several of them while in there and a new belt

all 4 brake rotors replaced with slotted ones,

e-bake shoes (most parts stores tell you you're stupid that there can't possibly be brake pads AND brake shoes lol)

longer fuel lines to fix annoying fuel smell when cold

new rear swaybar bushings

drivers wheel bearing and ball joint

(I have another new ball joint for the other side and lower control arm bushings to tighten up the front end but they aren't needed, but will go with it)

Extras: I will sell the 17's that are on it, on the car because neither set of 16s have inspectable tires. Might include a set of 16s with it in addition if I don't sell them before. I have original cat and midpipe, and downpipe too i believe. I'll have to look. original intake aside from the silencer. that was replaced by the PO. Mobile 1 since it was new. The hood is the only thing that's has issues. otherwise it's pretty damn clean for a 200k mile car.

I have a NIB set of KYB GR2s for it too. I wanted to throw those and some 05 sti springs on it but never ended up getting springs so they just sit there in the garage in their boxes all lonely. I'll sell these separately for $200.

I'd like to get $4500. If not then I will probably end up keeping it. I am ONLY selling it to get a decent truck to move with. I love this car though and would hate to sell it for any other reason.

I think I forgot to mention it has 200k.. f'n KBB rapes me on value. but it's a killer car. doesn't leak/burn oil, the trans is great if you don't cram it into 1st while rolling too fast. I'm taking it into M&A on monday to see about working out the CELs if I can't get them sorted out by removing the utec. It is stage 2 though so I will have to have ralli flash it for me if the utec is causing the issues.

and anywhere else I want 5000. Here, I don't like most of you but I will take less!! hahah jk jk

sorry guys. I bumped the price a little. I feel bad but I'm seriously screwing myself on this. I had looked at KBB for a trade in which is about 3500 and not private sale, which is 5600 for my car. I will sell it on here for 4500, but anywhere else is 5k.

sorry again. I just can't screw myself THAT badly. I will throw in the rest of the stuff I have with it that i forgot to say, like regular WRX mats and the rubber winter mats too, and stock blow off valve and tranny mount and umm whatever I can find. I have a ton of stuff kicking around. Some has been traded for other stuff by now though.

 
when are you moving? because honestly if you still have this in a month i may sell the cherokee and use that + tax money and buy this.

 
I talked to work and I can push back my resignation. I just need to put in a new resignation form. so right now I'm looking at around the beginning of Feb.

 
hmmm.... I gotta see what I can do. If I can sell my expedition I can buy it. Ill try to get rid of that for 1700 that should give me about enough to buy this!

 
I'll gladly give you an 00 Xterra with a little less miles, 5"s of lift, and 33's (ARB Bumper, Rock Rails, Custom Rear Bumper, Warn M8000 Winch etc etc) in trade for this :-)

 
Ok well an update is that I got my CELs checked at M+A and it appears to be mostly caused by the U-tec. I do need to get a new O2 sensor and that's no biggie. Needs a few more things too and I'll get those sorted out asap. I'll be at the meet wednesday with it and I will wash it tomorrow AM and take some pics.

I'll gladly give you an 00 Xterra with a little less miles, 5"s of lift, and 33's (ARB Bumper, Rock Rails, Custom Rear Bumper, Warn M8000 Winch etc etc) in trade for this :-)
and I don't think your option would work well for a long trip haha but thanks for the offer. If I thought my WRX was loud compared to a regular car... omg those 33s must make a TON of noise

 
yeah mighty i checked out your mod list and your cel issues. the UTEC + the BOV more than likely are causing the CEL's. you can work around the BOV even though people will tell you it's not the best thing for the car. if i were you, i would ditch the UTEC alltogether and go with straight open source tuning, even an OTS map. i know you got the tune from XX so maybe you'd be hesitant to ditch that map. where the UTEC is a piggyback system i'm not sure you can reuse the map with just open source. if anything, turn off the ability to throw a CEL from the rear O2 and that might solve your issues. I know anyone who's used open source does that. that rear o2 really just reads for cat health and emissions, so it's just doing its job going off.

 
use the utec to turn off the cel and codes... drive it till it blows up! I want this thing but dont have enough to buy it... that trade sounds pretty good for the lifted xterra

It's the FRONT 02 sensor that's throwing the code actually. The BOV has been on there for years and years without issue. I do have the stock one kicking around. It looks brand new. and probably still works like brand new because it was taken off early in the car's life. I didn't pay for the dyno tuning so I don't mind throwing an open source flash on there. Antonio already said he would flash a generic stage 2 map on it for me and maybe if 'young' Gabe is going to be there tomorrow, he might take a ride with me and see about a decent quick tune. I'd probably have to buy him a drink or something.. this is all IF he is there and brought his laptop. lol

And Pat.. I'm not going to just shut the CELs off and beat it till it dies lol. thanks for the suggestion though!!

 
ah, yeah the front o2 is another story, i didnt realize you had it read. definitely something in the tuning and if you're not married to the BOV try throwing the BPV back on.
