'06 Forester Rear Seat Removal Question

Hi, I'm trying to remove the back seat out of my '06 Forester. I got the bottom cushion out an removed the four bolts from the back rest where its connected in the middle.

Now i still can't get the back rest of the rear seats out. The only place that its connected is a little piston like rod (where the seats pivot up an down), where its connected to the body and i can't figure out how to remove it.

Has anyone done this? Can you please tell me how to remove it?

You pull the carpet back in the middle of the two halfs up and you will see two bolts on each side undo them so that the hinge stays connected to the body now you remove each half separately by lifting up in the center and rotate the outside piece is like a key it's a rod with a peg on it so the peg needs to line up with the slot and the seat will slide out to the center of the car
