99's are notorious for speedometer/odometer failures. you might want to check and see if the cluster has been changed by running a carfax. i just sold a 99 i had after replacing the motor, cluster read 92k but the car actually had around 200k on it. previous owner told me the miles were wrong when i bought it, so far both the 99's ive bought and sold had replacement speedo clusters. food for thought...
