2.5 turbo oil starvation?

Thanks..what are the chances that the screen gets looked at every oil change??what if you use a generic[non subaru] garage for routine service??? :argue:...off to the shop on tuesday. :wave:

I highly doubt that screen gets checked during an oil change. For one thing, its not a common thing to inspect. And your garage/drive-thru oil change outfit won't be pulling that apart when changing the oil anyway.

Some of the newer cars don't have it. I'm sure a nabisco search would tell you specific MYs.

Had my 06 wrx in the shop today looking for the screen...Not one to be found :laughing4:...Service tech said they opened up two other turbos at the same time.they also didnt have screens to worry about...better safe them sorry. ccasion14:

it doesn't effect the WRX's only the 04 Baja turbo, Forester XT, and STi.
