As long as it has the same plug it will work. All early EJ alts swap around. 1.8, 2.2, and 2.5. I actually have a '98 OBW alt in my legacy.

Huh. Just asked because there was a guy in my calc class at usm who was gonna do the swap when he got the funds.

I don't think that was him. I'm really excited to see it when it's done though. Supposedly it adds ~8 mpg, 60 hp, and runs consistently. Sounds like a good deal for less than $1000 when all is said and done!
