I bought a 96 legacy L to pull the motor out and put it in my VW Vanagon, but I dont have the cash for the parts for the conversion kit.

It was pulled from a 96 Legacy L. I personally pulled the motor and it ran great when removed.

I hadnt even realized anyone replied, didnt get any email notifications.

This engine does not have EGR.

I dont have my impreza anymore, besides that car was a hunk o' junk. I'm down to my vanagon and blazer..

Unfortunately for you, these engines don't blow up very often. So nobody is needing them.

just heard back from the seller. this motor is SOLD already.

I'll be continuing my search.

Check Norm's in Wiscasset. I'd bet they have one. Reasonable price? maybe not... but they probably have one.
