97 Legacy lift?

I have been looking around to see if I can swap out the springs in my 97 legacy for springs in a 01+ legacy outback to give me an inch lift? I have found a few topics on it and it seems like they might but I was wondering if anyone on hear has done it before or know of it being done. Thanks

 
jaKe on the forum has the ones out of his legacy outback that he is looking to get rid of for free so if they fit I will just go with those instead of spending more money lol

 
they wont fit you need 95-99 outback struts and and springs or 98-02 forester struts and springs or 03-08 forester complete strut DONKEY. with tophats

 
OK thanks that sux. I guess I will have to start looking for one of those set ups
