automatic Transmission slipping pretty badly $700 firm 208k

I bought this 2 weeks ago, with an unfinished motor swap. Finished it up, new battery and alt and everything was good for about 500 miles. I had it in for inspection on Friday, which it failed for 2 rust holes which have since been filled and unhooked bumper ends. Its had some other bondo work done, and 2 new front axles.

I had someone else driving it last night, for about 100 miles. Apparently in that time the trans started leaking and then slipping. I was sleeping at the time. When we got back it was smoking. I then filled up the trans with 1 quart, and limped it 15 miles home from there slipping pretty badly id say. I put about another half quart in it today and drove it around, but it didnt get any better. It is driveable and you can get it home easily I would think. Im surprised there was that much damage from only 1 quart low, maybe it will get better idk. I dont have the time or space to deal with it unfortunately, so im just trying to get some of money back. Im waiting on the title now, it is a clean title. I have a rush on it.

Same pic, attached. its located in Biddeford.

Suspension seems fine, passed inspection. Its had some bondo work done, underneath like the a-arms and crossmembers are in good shape. Better than I expected.

It had bondo work done on both rear quarters before I got it. We had to redo the drivers side rear quater, around the gas door and a hole in each rocker was filled. Also a little bit on the drivers door, that still needs to be painted and trim attached. The drivers rear quarter needs the second tone and the pin stripe paint finished also, but it comes with the proper paint.

Its raining right now, so no. Its in fair/decent shape and Id keep it in a heartbeat if it was manual. If I can sell it Ill be doing a swap. I think it might be a somewhat easy fix, maybe a bad front pump or something. I got it to stop slipping, and the trans feels good. When its full the fluid just pours out of the breather though. The AT Temp light never came on. I really just have no interest in dealing with an auto trans.

Also it comes on steel wheels with worn out hakkapelitas

Im going to swap that hood, headlights and everything onto my L pretty soon here, come get it before then

I had another look at it today, its making a gurgling noise and then fluid is coming out of the breather. As I suspected, its the breather for the front pump. If you plan to replace the tranny, you could try to drive it home I think, as it stops pouring out when it gets a lot lower. The tranny isn't slipping when its full, so maybe a front pump would fix it. Im guessing that the guys that did the motor swap pulled the TC out with the engine, but I dont know why it took over 500 miles to start acting up.

I could have it towed within 100 miles of Biddeford for $50 as well.

Just as a note...I was driving it back from the Dirt Drive and it goes good on the highway, I was cruising at 80 and there was no wobbles or anything bad and it handled just fine.

I'd grab it if it was a 5 speed!

Yeah I haven't really had any interest in it, not surprising. Im going to be replacing the trans within a few weeks, and then selling it.
