Picked up guitar when I was 9, since then have "taught" myself to play drums thanks to a friend who left his kit at my house for 6+ years, and now I play bass for the Motor Creeps. http://www.themotorcreeps.com

to the OP, what band are you in?

Sounds like you might have an appreciation for Last Chance to Reason (http://www.myspace.com/lastchancetoreason). They are from Augusta; saw them a few weeks ago in Windham and will probably go see them in Rockland this weekend. No offense to your band since I haven't heard it, but these guys are the best effing metal band I have ever heard from Maine, period. I'm actually starting to like them more than the "bigger" bands of the same genre.

I've played guitar since I was 8 (I'll be 40 this year), originally played classical but then went to electric. Still play classical a fair amount, but also a ton of rock (Van Halen, Rush, Maiden, Ozzy, Dire Straits, Steely Dan, etc). Basically play just about anything.
