The date of the secord 2 Day A/X event on the UMO campus in Orono is almost upon us. The MCA lot plays home to the course, and offers 210,000 sq feet of pavement. This makes it the biggest venue the CMC has access to. Each day is a separate event, so come for one or both days.

UMO courses are typical more open, flowing, and longer than those on the venues in southern Maine. Here is a chance for your Subies to strut their stuff.

I came within a second of him at Portland for the first time this year! Set the goals high right ;D O0

On another note I dont have any DS competition anymore, so If anyone knows someone with a DS Type R or MS3 encourage them to come!!!

I'm in for both days and really looking forward to it. Just checked out the weather ~70 and a few clouds both days, sounds damned near perfect to me.

Headed up Friday. Even took Monday off to recover. 8)

I am seriously thinking about running STX for 3 reasons:

1. I have some points in both STS and STX, but there's no way i will be high enough in either on to place for the season.

2. There's no way i can beat 3 people driving the super prepped "shoe" while going head to head akina.

3. yeah, STX might hurt my PAX, but whatever... :

But on the other hand sometimes STX is stacked and i would get killed.

Anybody have any suggestions?

At Tarmac Attack, Millers STS machine was beaten (Raw time) by a Subie, Honda, and a Saab.

At Sunshine A/X, Millers STS machine was beaten (raw time) by 2 Subies, a Lotus, and a Saab.

But I agree that in class he is very very tough to beat.

Haha yes, but in theroy, probably 85% of the CMC where they are classed should be beating the Miller STS shoe in Raw Time ;D But point taken

Alright i'm still on the fence weather or not i should run STS or STX. Looks like there are going to be 4 people driving the shoe. It's not really the people driving the shoe i'm worried about (i saw a couple of the girls driving at annex do just as much understearing around the rotary as me sometimes and they still beat me), it's the car. Will the course be big enough to give an NA subaru enough of an advantage? Will my car (running stock FSB) be able to catch the shoe no matter how good i get?

On the other hand i already have some points in both STS and STX. With Jim gone sometimes i would stand a chance in STX other times i would get killed? Mike(with the red GC) is back and Running STX, so either STS or STX i would have some similar competition. But this decision to run S or X is not just for Orono i am planning to sticking with which ever for the rest of the season. So with tighter course down south i will be at less of an advantage again against the shoe, but be better of in X as not as many people make it to the smaller ones.

I'm leaning toward STX. Any more thoughts anyone?

Come run in STX.. I dont always have a full class, that way we would always have a full class and wouldn't bump.. hows that sound??
Sounds like a plan to me. Heidi and i are leaving now, staying up there tonight and Saturday night so we are ready to go first thing is the morning.
