I got a bunch of parts from a friend. In there was a nice shiny new ultralight procomp EGT gauge, and boost gauge. I need to know the best place to mount the sender in my divorced wastegate downpipe,Im not sure if upstream or downstream of the wastegate is better. thanks for any info

You will want to weld the bung pretty close the the turbo on the compressor/turbine side rather then waste gate side.

Just like this:

Yah. And that is actually a horrible place (although typical for manufacturers to put it there) for the wideband. Way too close to the turbo. You want it roughly 18" from the turbo, and just sniffing into the tube, not stuffed way in like that shallow bung would put it.

OK,now Im confused. When I got it,the bung was threaded into a downpipe, but the turbo kit had never been installed on the car. Sounds like it was good that he didnt run it that way. So it should be installed in the up pipe?? Now that I think about it,the wideband sensor on my 240sx was just behind the wastegate in pipe.
