This is on my sister's camry.

I changed the pads on the driver's side with no issue but for some reason I can't get the pass side to stop squeeking under braking.

I used brand new pads, brand new shim kits and even put some of that no squeel stuff on the pads. I also cleaned everything throughly with brake cleaner.

Any ideas?

There are SOOOOOOO many things that can be causing it.

Cheapy pads

cheapy rotors

lifetime pads that are too hard

pads that are stuck in the holders

worn anti-squeal shims

anti-squeal goo where it doesn't belong

New pads on old rotors

old rotors on new pads

dirt

pads not chamfered when they should be

pads missing the heat groove in the center

ect, ect, ect,

Tell whoever bought the pads they shoulda spent the $50 at Toyota and put new rotors on.

I really think its the rotors at this point. The pads are OEM toyota pads. All the other pieces are brand new. Anti-squeal is in the right spots.

Im going to get the rotor turned and see if that does the trick.
