CAI vs SRI

Currently I run an AEM cold air intake. I worry about getting water sucked up and messing things up.

I hit a few mud puddles and found the indise of my fender where the intake sit is full of mud!

So is there enough of a difference to keep it or should I just scrap it for a short ram?

chris , I have not seen any huge gains that would make me want to sell everyone a CAI . If you are concerned then I would just yank the entire setup or just make it a short ram . You will not feel the difference in power ! Just my .02

CAI is great for throttle response... IF you are running a full breather system upgrade: headers, exhaust, cams, etc. on an engine that is built to breathe.

On a basically STOCK SETUP (ie.. no mapping, serious money into bolt-ons+AFM internals) CAI and SRI are going to be about equal. The performance difference is negligible.

Go with SRI.
