UPDATE:

Unfortunately the weather is not going to support a rallyX on sunday.

Everyone who has sent pre-reg in will get their money returned to them via mail.

At this time we do not have a reschedule for this event unless temps drop significantly in the next week or so and we get a good 6inchs of snow.

Thanks everyone for the interest, CMC rallyX isn't dead just going dormant for the moment.

Anyone have any leads on fields or gravel pits?

I might bring the M1A1 Leggy down again.. run 'er as is.. with oil leak, and clutch ownage..

I'm off to burlington for that weekend, though would definitely attend more rallyx's in Maine if they were offered. It would be great if there was enough interest to do a series throughout the year.

its either gonna be really muddy or really snowy i cant wait! we are supposed to get a huge storm this week i wonder how its gonna hit lyman?

regardless how you do, you do it with a HUGE Grin on your face.. believe me.. hehe
This.

I did TERRIBLE my first time out, but still had a ton more fun then I have had during the years of autocross I've done.

because you cant drive it like an autocross. straightening out the lines and trying to thread the needle of the course doesn't work.

Bingo. I was still stuck in autocross mode, and I feel all those years of doing it has taught me stuff that doesn't work on loose surfaces. So I'm back to the drawing board on learning how to drive.

that's what rez, nigel and I have been telling you monkeys for years! But we kept hearing "I don't want to hurt my car!!!!" Fun as heck isn't it??????

Yeah, I've barely been on here a year and rezpunk has done a pretty quick job of making me a sand people. Wish I had learned about rallyx sooner.

Hurting my car was never a worry, college parking lots already took care of that.

Dan, are you going to this for sure? I haven't decided yet.
I sent my entry form and money in yesterday. I'm 100% in. Today is the last day to have your entry form in the mail for 35, otherwise it's 50 day of.

next couple days will tell if it's another dirt event or if it's buried in fresh white stuff.
It was also announced yesterday that the event may be possibly postpone/cancelled if the field is too muddy. We need either snow or mostly frozen ground. It's up the the land owner to let us know. I'll keep you guys posted.
