I've seen this build a few times. Pretty awesome. Diesel because holy turbo diesel torque! It would have come out of one of the Subarus that got a turbo diesel in another country. Boxeer imports and sells swap packages.

several shots in the video showed the car on course where it sounded like he was in too high a gear. downshift = fastAr!!!

then again, maybe the diesel doesn't rev very high, and all the torque is down low.

Awesome build.  Might be slow up the hill, but it's still so clean.  Maybe it'll come back with a built motor, bigger turbo, larger injectors, and a tune.  Curious to know what those diesels can make for power.

Also, while that car was fairly slow up the hill, diesels don't usually sound fast, as they rev about 1/2 what a gasser does.  Could also improve things by swapping out some tranny gears with proper stuff for a hill climb.
