Disable seat belt chime?

More than once I've been on the phone while starting my car, and the damn seat belt chime just about deafens the person that I'm talking to. I looked in my manual, and it alludes to the ability to disable the seatbelt chime - but provides no instruction as to how to do this.

Anyone done this? Feel like sharing the secret?

+1... althought I did it to the 2006 2.5i wagon I sold to Runnah

just wear the damn thing. you'll be glad you did.

 
Hmm, I seem to have been a bit misunderstood. I wear the seatbelt religiously, and make anyone in my car do the same. That said, the effing chime is not only unnecessary (as I don't need the reminder), but it's downright painful to those I'm on the phone with.

I got the 411 on the clicky trick, and will try that when I leave work today. News at 11.

 
Oh, I didn't mean the warning to you. I caught what you said, that's why I sent you the PM. The reason I didn't type it was I didn't want non-seatbelt wearing people to see it.
