even with the key off. should all power be cut when there is no key in?

We've had 'em towed in with a dead battery. "it started Saturday night. Stupid piece of crap! The car is BRAND NEW! I've only had it for a week!"

When I bought my car the salesman sat us down in the car and went over every button, switch and control. Paying special attention to the parking light switch. That it is a common "mistake" by Subaru owners that when they clean the dash or reset the trip that the switch can be left on. Seeing it is painted red when on. A good salesman (IMO) will do this with every new buying custmer.

I'm sure it was one of Q's customers

delivery probably went like this.

"here's the keys to your new car. It's probably up in the back somewhere." (goes back to his twinkie)
