exhaust suggestions

I have a 97 legacy Gt 2.5l dohc. I have been chasing repairs, and it has finally come down to a last minute leak/blow out in my exhaust. being a single parent, and with the economy, with all the other repairs I have run out of extra cash. is there a cheap way to replace from the cat back? I may just need the tailpipe/muffler, but the pipes I noticed don't have the flanges like they are supposed to. they are u-clamped together. I would love to be able to just upgrade but I definitely need to fix this before my sticker runs out this month or I get pulled over.

A lot of shops well weld the exhaust as one piece header back. My LGT is like that, a previous owner had a garage construct a new mid pipe, basically. And it's all welded as one section. Just header, and everything else... Cheap crappy way to do it, but it's cheap..

BTW, I love your car. Second gen LGT is one of the best subies ever!

I can eliminate the flange and weld the pipes together....
