Well I see where you would not want someone to drive your car... BUT it is only a 29k car or so at this point and really not that fast... I would say take the person on the test drive and if they like it and can show that they can pay for it THEN LET THEM DRIVE IT!well had a few people email me about my add on craigs list. should i require a deposit before somone test drives it? i already told them i woudl need proof of insurance i woudl need ot be in the car with them and have them sign a waiver saying they are responsible for any damage that occurs during the test drive caused by them
Would you spend 30k on a car that you had never driven?... guess im honered that fellow member's have trusted me enough to allow me to drive thier pride and joy car's[i even stalled the built STI with the race clutch, and so did the owner,we laughed] and they wernt even up for sale ...There just cars brother, share the love.....That why god made insurance.Dude, tell them they cannt drive it but you will take them for a test drive if they want to see it run. I would not trust anyone. Especially sense you car is in like 100% mint condition.
^ I agree... If someone told me I couldn't drive the car I would walk away... I drove a Cayman S the other day... Hated it but hell got it out of my system. A car is a car you buy them to drive and spend money.Would you spend 30k on a car that you had never driven?... guess im honered that fellow member's have trusted me enough to allow me to drive thier pride and joy car's[i even stalled the built STI with the race clutch, and so did the owner,we laughed] and they wernt even up for sale ...There just cars brother, share the love.....That why god made insurance.
Don't meet them at your house... It is a good rule of thumb not to. Meet at the mall or a walmart. That way you don't have to cap a foo.lol that would be funny as hell leaving them ont he side of the road but not a godo idea if they are meeting me at my house
Didnt like the car ey? tell me why and maybe ill stop drulling over it..............As for car buying,i argued the same point at patriot subaru,IF you want me to buy your gonna have to let me drive,Me NOT, getting to test drive the new sti was the differance in me NOT wantint to buy one from them....i have great credit but prefer to dress like a bum,i did drive in ,in a limited ed "comprable" car....thier loss...^ I agree... Most people will respect your car... If they don't tell them to pull over and leave them on the side of the road.

I would want to feel the differances,to me ,your statement is a great leap of faith.....My wrx is a whole differant beast the the STI . is it worth the differance in price. IT would be nice to get a feel before you have to through down, especial if you have never driven a subaru before..... not trying to be argumentive, juyst stimulating the conversation.I didn't get to drive my brand new sti before I bought it. Dealership said to many people were coming to them and running the hell out of the cars then leaving. The STI is a car that if you find one you like visually then you don't need to drive it to see if you will like it or not.
So I paid them the money then I got to drive my car.
What do we do to the guy who crashes itWow. This thread blew up today! Here is what we should do....
30 members of the MS community pay $1000 and we make the car the offical rally car of Mainely Subarus...build it up to race and then charge fans across New England for seat time in ride-alongs until we all get our money back....then we go Open Class, beat Travis Pastrana in the Rally America series and we'll all be famous and get all the chicks.
