hey guys, im decided to put my RS up as a feeler to see what i can get. My RS was my first subaru and i love this car but im looking for something faster. The car is an automatic with 146k. The interior is perfect there isn't any defects. The engine had timing belt and headgaskets fixed at 128k and since ive replaced a brake caliper and oil pan. I know these RSes are hard to sell at higher prices but im looking for 5500 or trade for a turbo car. Since ive owned this car ive put it in storage for winters and also have all orginal parts for the car. The worst part about this car, same with all of these, is the rust, the moonroof is rusty and the quarter panels have bubbling spots other than that it needs nothing. Has good tread on the Goodyear Eagle Gt tires. Have any questions about it go ahead and send a PM! Thanks.

Have Mike quote you on a 5 speed 4.11 trans swap, get some sticky tyres, swaybars and proper suspension and you WILL have a faster car! Your RS is way too nice, and with all those miles you won't get the $ you want for it. You can have more fun and experience modifying your car to your tastes, rather then buying a swapped car, and having to trouble-shoot someone else's mods. Swapped RS's are cheap in price these days, but trust me you don't want the headache of tracing wires, and dealing with others work like I have had. Don't get me wrong-I love my Impreza, it represents a year of saving money, and working towards a goal, but I would have done some things "swap-related" differently, if it were me. Check this out:

5 speed swap: $500-$700

good tarmac tires: $600 (tirerack has a $70 rebate for michelin right now)

swaybar's and bushings: maybe $300 front and rear if you look for deals

coilovers: $600- a lot (I'm not mentioning ricelands since they don't even list spring rates)

Your own built car: Priceless.

I'm not trying to be condescending, as I really like your car, just voicing my opinion. For around 2-3k you can pick and choose your build, create a decent handling car, then move onto power after you tack on another 146k. One of the things that I have learned after driving a few turbo charged cars, was that I can have just as much fun (if not more) in a bucket like my Legacy, then some slammed rig that I have to swerve around potholes, let warm up and cool down after driving it, and use self control with boost to avoid going to prison. Just sayin...

 
Well guys honestly i wanted to see if anyone was interested in it and any offers i could get but if i get nothing a 5spd swap is next on the list and its in the works!

Honestly i'd keep the car that thing is beastly! do a swap with and then either a wrx engine or sti engine swap ^-^

 
The older ones are cheaper to get replacement parts for. And are lighter for whipping around corners. Transmission swaps are easy, all the holes are there for putting in the clutch pedal and hydraulics. Just make sure you have a donor car on hand for miscellaneous bolts.
