Finally getting a new suspension

Hey guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my suspension, and would like some advice. I've got an 02 wrx sedan, and its my daily driver. I drive fairly aggressively around the roads here, but am not planning on doing any rally or auto-x in the near future.

Anyone running a good setup for maine driving? I don't want to lower the ride height and want to keep a spring rate fairly close to stock so I don't rattle my teeth out on dirt roads and frost heaves. Should I go with GR-2's or stock STI struts and try and beef up my sway bars/endlinks/bushings, or try and get a more expensive coil over kit to improve handling?

I've just now started seriously researching my options, and any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

 
gr2 is pretty stock. assuming you need new struts they'd be fine.

get a set of sti springs. that will make it tighter, but shouldn't mess with the ride height much.

get endlinks and sways and all of that should make for a nice aggressive ride without really killing your driveability. getting coilovers would either be way too expensive or destroy your day to day drive

 
before you buy anything think about what you want to do with the car......does a daily driver really need 1000 coilovers????

 
That^ and coilovers have to be rebuilt every year, mucho money! Sti struts + epic springs makes for decent ride with a good drop.

 
I'd say no need for an upgraded front sway for DD. Rear is a must!

gr-2 + STi take offs or Pinks will be a great setup.

I slightly more aggressive and more $$ setup would be Koni inserts and RCE Black springs. Def more $$ but the konis should last longer then the gr-2s and the Blacks are a more aggressive spring rate with very close to stock right height. Also the Blacks will even the car out while the STi take offs will still have larger wheel gap in the front, and the Pinks i think are actually kinda low.

i think the gap with sti springs is just visual but i guess it could be me.

also...i win for suggesting what everyone else said first!
