I have the stock motor out of my 00 RS for sale. It has around 110k on it. When I pulled it out, the compression read: 120, 200, 200, 200.
I checked the timing, and it was still dead on, so I know it didn't skip any teeth. The motor didn't leak any fluids really, and ran pretty good considering the compression. From what I understand, chances are pretty good that it was just a head gasket issue, for it to hold as much compression as it did. I haven't had a chance to pull the head off to inspect what happened yet. I'm going to try and get that done some day this week. This motor will come with an intake manifold, and the brackets etc. Both of the heads and valve covers, timing covers and components etc.
$600.00, you bring your own head gaskets, and probably a new timing kit, and your ready to rock. If I get the head off, and it needs a valve, seat, stem, or even rings, I'll get that fixed as well. If it is just the HG, then you got a good deal.
